There is always 1 owner of a sailboat. Much clearer than with multiple owners. You only enjoy all the benefits of ownership.
The yields depend heavily on the type of ship and how much you want to use it yourself. You will soon be reimbursed all costs (berth, insurance, maintenance, etc.) and can also count on a fixed fee per month, throughout the year.
These are definitely there. For example, when you make your sailboat available to share, you can request VAT back on the purchase.
Up to 5 years from the purchase of a new ship. We start with a first period of 3 years, after which a maximum of 2 years can be added.
By default, you get a double subscription for free as an owner. This means guaranteed 7 days a month sailing time and a maximum of 2 weeks in a row sailing. In consultation, more or less Sailing time can be agreed.
Boat Owner Information

We work exclusively with Jeanneau sailing yachts. We initially focus on the Sun Odyssey range with the 350, 380, 410, 440 and 490. As an owner, you decide what the execution is, but we do have certain minimum requirements with regard to the execution, to give the ship sufficient comfort for the subscribers.
No. We only work with new ships that come into the system. This ensures a perfect and consistent experience of our customers. We go for the ultimate experience and sublime quality.
Yeah. After the first period you can remove your boat from the system with a notice period of 9 months.
Maintenance & Costs
No. Only if you lose belongings to the boat or damage the boat will be charged. In the event of damage, the costs will be passed on to the ship’s excess.
Participants leave the ship neatly after using it. You also want your boat to be neat when you come on board. This means that everything is tidy, garbage off board and no dirt on board. SailTime ensures that your ship is regularly kept extra clean on the outside and checks that everything is neat for use.
After each use, the sign-in and unsubscribe via the Embark system on your phone. On this you also indicate the condition of your ship (and whether something has been lost or damaged, for example) when you board and leave.
SailTime arranges this, at no extra cost. Only when someone has been away for several days and has sailed a lot, the participant in question takes care of this.
Planning & Sailing
Our comprehensive and innovative software makes it super easy to book your reservations and has a lot of information and overviews. All this through an on-line app. With this software you arrange your bookings, request for a waiting list, change bookings with others, arrange free last-minute extra bookings etc. you can also slide with sailing time between different months. In short; easy, clear, flexible and fast planning.
A Classic subscription is based on 7 parts of the day per month. A day is divided into 2 parts of the day:
Part 1 : From 10:00 to 18:00
Part 2 : From 18:30 to 09:30 the next morning.
You can book 1 half day or several consecutively to go away for several days
Friday part 1 is a weekday part of the day. Friday part 2 (from 18:00) is a weekend part of the day

Yeah. It is possible to book several days with overnight stay. you can bring your own stuff for the overnight stay, but SailTime can also arrange everything for you, from bedding to food and drinks. Ask about the possibilities.
Additional Questions
The agreement we conclude contains an article about the possibility of removing members from the system when they do not comply with the SailTime conditions.
Yeah. If your boat has the right insurance and you yourself have sufficient experience and the right papers for that, you can of course enjoy beautiful trips on the Wadden Sea, for example. Because this takes more time than an average cruise, we can see if we can organize things with SailTime and/or the other participants. Ask about the possibilities.
Definitely! Depending on your membership type, you will be able to book extra time for free, as long as this is within 24 or 36 hours in advance.
Yeah. With SailTime PLUS, you have access to the growing network of more than 35 locations around the world. You found the same ships here as you are used to, use the same EMBARK App, the SailTime system is the same everywhere and you get the quality and convenience you are used to. Some locations do require certain qualifications. Ask about the possibilities to go sailing in Australia, Florida or New York!!
Yeah. This even happens regularly. You start as a participant and get to know the benefits and the way of working. Here you can also see how perfectly your boat is maintained and how participants deal with it. You also get a feeling with your location and the people who work here. This gives a solid foundation to switch and buy your first new SailTime sailing yacht.
